Digital BW, The Print

I'm running WinXP Pro with 7600 and UC's (MK). Using QTR 3 and GUI 
0.6, printing the 21step wedge on Enhanced Matte: although very 
minor, I get banding between the 80-100% wedges when using EM 
profiles, but not when using Photorag profiles (again, printing on 
EM). I did an alignment prior to making any of my tests. What might 
cause this?

I only proof with EM; all my prints are made on PR, so it doesn't 
concern me greatly (yet). I've already made a 16x30 and 16x16 on PR 
with blended profiles (using the GUI) and got terrific (not banded 
results). No problems at all with printing.
