I struggled for half a day yesterday trying to run down a QTR3/Windows problem only to find out that the "flattened" grayscale image file from Photoshop6 wasn't really as flat as I thought, it still had an alpha channel (a mask) open and that screwed-up the QTR output really badly. So, keep in mind that QTR/Win is very sensitive to the kinds of files you send it. Nevertheless, it and the GUI Stephen Billard made available do give excellent variable-tone prints and are worth checking out for your workflow. Frank
