Some of the best inkjet papers are made in Germany by Hahnemuhle.
You may try the sample pack on this page, or just Photo Rag,
William Turner and German Etching.

As for Ilford MC Glossy substitute....   the only paper is Lyson
Darkroom Range Glossy (made in England, by the way). But
you have to use dyes with it. Go to:

and look under inkjet media.
