I am looking for advice for the 3000. I purchased a used 3000 about a year and a half ago, after some trial and error I managed to print a sizable quantity of work on the old Piezography inks. At about the time the new piezotones came out I had a show to print for, I was able to get some fair prints but the museum black kept clogging. I drove it down to Ardito's in N.Y., I live in R.I., and he rebuilt it saying I needed new heads, among other things. I got it up and running and still had the same problem. After much frustration and no success I purchased another 3000 and printed the show on this one with the old Piezo/ R-9 inks. After the show I then tried the newer 3000 w/ the piezotones and had the same problem. After much back and forth w/ Dana from Ink Jet Mall she finally told me the 3000 is the least successful machine for the piezotones. I next went back to the old Piezo's, yes I bought 2 new sets from the B+W guys and got clogging on both machines. I have now brought them both in for service, as I could not completely clean them, and had the newer one rebuilt. I gave the inks to the repair people and they cleaned and tested ea. printer, telling me the inks are no good as they got bad, yet inconsistent checks on each machine, at different times. So my questions are; 1) What are my options in terms of other inks 2) Are other people having any luck w/ the 3000? 3) Help, Help, Help I must say, I want 16X20 prints, and when they work right I am stunned at what I get. Thanks Steve Mason
