Digital BW, The Print

I can't seem to get my prints to match the size that I have them saved
in PS.  I have a print that is saved as an A4 Portrait sized print,
and when I try to print it out either through QTRgui with A4 as the
page, portrait orientation, or with the print.bat edited to select
set=A4, and set=portrait orientation, it always prints out the same
size, about 5 7/8 x 4 1/8 inches, and only a small portion of the
picture (lower left hand corner), not a reduced, full-sized, version.
 Can anyone help me figure this out?  Thank you in advance.
