Re: [Digital BW] I'm new here

George,
Since your post got lost in the flurry of other topics recently...I'll
offer my less_than_expert suggestions. I'm not that advanced of a user
myself - I use the UT2 inkset on an Epson 1280, using Paul's curves -
just to clarify my position.
Advice depends a lot on what you're after. I have read about many
folks getting amazing results using BO techniques. Have you done a
search on this topic in the archives? Alternatives to BO techniques are
either a RIP (if you want to keep your color inks in there) or something
like the UT inksets from MIS, where you actualy replace the color inks
with different shades of grey. All of these topics are covered
extensively in the archives.

If you're more specific about what you're after, and/or what you're
willing to do (would you be willing to dedicate a printer to just B&W?
or willing to try and get a RIP working properly for your needs?), then
I'm sure we can help. Maybe not me, but I'm sure others can :-)
