Digital BW, The Print

Hello,
I mostly print on EAM, however when I choose Archival Matte in the
paper settigns of the driver, I only can choose up to 1440 dpi. At
1440 however I can see something like "printing lines" from closer
distance, mainly in the lighter tones. At 2880 this is not visible,
however I have to choose semigloss paper setting.

Is there a workaround for this?
