Is that an old driver? My 2200 Windows driver lets me print 2880 on matte.

As to seeing lines, you may have a nozzle that has a bit of paper dust fuzz
on it that's deflecting the ink. A manual head cleaning with an ammoniated
cleaner like Windex may help.
