Be sure the "Color Management" section of the driver is set to "No Color
Adjustment" if you are using the curves.

How one defines where the 50% density "should be" is an open question.  Due
to this issue, many of us use the Photoshop preview function outlined at
http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/Monitor-Profiling.htm to coordinate the
monitor and print densities.

Subject: [Digital BW] UT7 Inks and Paul's Curves

I just started using UT7 inks in an Epson 2200 and Paul Roark's 
curves. One problem--the prints are coming out way too light. If I 
go back and lower the brightness in Photoshop, it does very little. 
Seems like the curves are overriding the brightness adjustments that 
I make to the image before applying the curves and that they are 
causing the print to come out way too light. Any suggestions?
