Yes, there have been several tests, specifically one in the well regarded german computer magazine 'ct that compared several film scanners: Most important finding: The effective resolution is about 2800dpi, the rest just interpoation. Dynamic range seems less than ideal. IN the end here you will apparently just get what you pay for. 7200dpi true resolution is still reserved to high End gear, like drum scanners and bigger Imacon machines. Myself I am in the process to buy a film scanner for both MF and 35mm, but it wont be the Plustec. Regards, Bernie
