Mike, >I've been using the UT2 inks in my 1280 with your curves. >Are you recommending a switch to the FS type? No, not if you're happy with UT2. The FS option is just for those who want a monotone inkset. Some do because it is easy for them to write or modify curves for. All the relevant points are along a single curve, and there is no tone/hue control, so that issue is gone. My main target for the hextone FS is the 2000P. There are apparently a lot of these sitting around collecting dust. It might make a good, cheap 13" printer for those who want to get into B&W digital printing on a tight budget. To keep my time commitment to a minimum, I will probably only set up the FS (and FS-N) on the 2000P. >Also, I've been unable to source premeir art hot press in the 205 weight. >Did I get that spec wrong? The Premier Imaging home page is http://www.premierimagingproducts.com/. They show dealer information, and one that seems to have good prices is http://www.itsupplies.com/. Look down the left hand, blue section of their web page to the link for "Premier Imaging - Fine Art Media." The Fine Art Media link from the page that will appear gets you to page <http://www.itsupplies.com/cgi-bin/itsupplies.storefront/4151a91401b095fe273 f40018014064b/Catalog/1477> (cut and paste the entire URL) that seems to have good prices on 205 as well as other weights. I have ordered PremierArt spray from IT Supplies, and they seem to be reputable. Good luck. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
