Don, I did the same thing with an Epson 1200. I just cleaned up what I could see with windex and paper towels and then ran sheets of plain paper through the printer until there were no more ink stains. As I recall, it was not that awful and did not take a huge number of sheets to get one that came through clean on both sides.
