This paper seems to have replaced the Epson Glossy Photo Paper in Costco stores. It is very similar, and has the same "Epson Photo Paper" stamp on the back, but it is slightly different. The good news is that the Kirkland paper uses the Epson Glossy Photo Paper curves and is almost (but not quite) as bronzing-free with MIS UT inks. Also good news is that the dmax with the 1270 FS inks and Eboni loaded (that is, using just the dark gray inks for the black generation), the dmax of the Kirkland paper is 2.0 v. 1.9 for Epson. The surface gloss on the Kirkland paper is slightly more than on the Epson version. The bad news is that the shadow smoothness of the Kirkland paper is slightly rough. I'm not sure it will be seen in actual photos, however. Also in the bad news column is that the Kirkland paper seems more acidic than my latest batch of Epson Glossy Photo paper, which seems almost neutral. At any rate, the Kirkland paper is good for short term, cheap and easy glossy prints. Paul www.PaulRoark.com <http://www.paulroark.com/> [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
