RE: [Digital BW] Kirkland Glossy Photo Paper

2004-10-07 by Paul Roark

Do you know the name of the company that makes the papers? I've been
looking for a way to get larger sizes. I'd been told that Sihl made the
paper, but Sihl says that is not correct and has no close substitute.

The Epson Heavyweight Photo Paper, which appears to have the same coating,
is roll paper that comes in a box indicating it is made in Japan.

I'd say the Kirkland paper is much closer to the Epson Glossy Photo paper
than to Ilford, at least with the MIS UT pigs. I'd guess that the slight
change in the coating is to make it more compatible with the UC inks, which
were terrible on Epson Glossy Photo Paper.
