Re: Paul Roark-MIS UT inks on 1160 - which archival paper?

Stefan

I'm fairly new to this too (well, I'm taking my time). I'm using the
VM inkset in a 1290. I use Tyler Boley's curves for printing. This
is a different setup to yours, but...

I've largely been using Epson Archival Matte for printing and
recently tried some PhotoRag with the same curves and workflow and
have been very pleased with the results (in fact blown away). So my
guess is it will work well for your setup.

One recommendation I have is to try to get some sample prints from
paper manufacturers / suppliers, or even better, a test pack (for
example Permajet sell these in the UK) so that you can check it out
for yourself. That way you don't have to spend too much up front.

Have fun

Chris
