Digital BW, The Print

The blade on my 7000 paper cutter broke and prevented the head from moving. I removed 
the blade and now I am getting the -  001006 - service required error code. The printer 
will not allow the head to operate and stops. 

This all happened when the blade fell down and now that it is removed it still will not 
work. I am looking into the manual right now. I am changing tyo Piezzotone inks and did a 
lot of head cleanings etc. when flushing this thing out. Before that it worked fine.

Is it possible to remove the whole paper cutter assembly and have the printer function 
properly. I never use the cutter anyway.

One more thing, one of my ink absorption pads is missing. Can I make one out of some 
sponge or something temporarily to work with.
