So you replace the carts and print until the colors are gone to flush the tubes ? If that is possible great then.

  I never bother with flushing, although I don't have a 4000.  With my 7500 I
  simply replaced the Archival inks with UT inks and had no problems.  My
  experience has been that the Epson pigments and MIS pigments are compatible.
