Great, I didn't realise that. I was on the verge of buying a 9000 a couple of months ago, but had to put the plan on hold as I simply don't have the necessary wedge of cash right now. I suspect that the 8000/9000 could be the best all-rounder, but it would be good to verify that. -----Original Message----- From: Steve Kale Sent: 19 October 2004 19:25 To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [Digital BW] Re: Film Scanners They also have the Nikon 8000 (or perhaps they have upgraded it to the 9000 now). I have used the Imacon 848 and love the results with colour slide film (I don't do too much with B&W film) which I then convert to B&W. Since I can't justify the cost of the 848 (or even one of its cheaper cousins) I am trying to buy a 9000. (I need both 35mm and 645) > From: "Nunan, Mike" <mike.nunan@...> > Reply-To: <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Date: Tue, 19 Oct 2004 16:41:18 +0100 > To: "'DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com'" > <DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com> > Subject: RE: [Digital BW] Re: Film Scanners > > > Good point, I've got some time off the day job at the beginning of Nov > so I might go and give that a try.
