Paul, Thanks for your reply: really good info. And good news too! I shall follow up on the MIS inkset and use my remaining Lyson inks for non-critical work: they're "alright" but not great, unfortunately. See my information index at http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/. The 2000P information Readme is at http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/2000P-FS-Readme.htm. Curves can be downloaded from a page reached form the index. MIS will have the 2000P pre-loaded carts, with chips, very soon. You can also load your own. The carts are the same as the 1280/1290. The chip is unique, and MIS has them. This printer may have the best matte paper dmax I've seen. Good luck. I want to use the 2000P as a B&W machine. I'm in the UK. So far I've started to use the Lyson Quadblacks with varying success. Colour shift is my big concern although I've only tried Epson's Semigloss and Archival Matte. (Matte doesn't colour shift, Semigloss is copper under tungsten, neutral under daylight). What other options do I have? Permajet don't support the 2000P and neither (I think) do MIS. Does Lyson Quad work on some papers? I intend to buy a range of samples in the next few days to try out. Am I out of luck with the 2000P? Anyone interested in my (limited) experiences so far or is Lyson beaten to death on this forum? Thanks in advance, Steve [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
