Do I have that right? Thanks in advance. > > Norm There are a number of problems. The commands used in the two .bat files are not all available in the Win98 batch processor and Win98 only allows ten parameters to be passed in a call. With a severely limited number of parameters I got it to work. So the big problem is with the batch processor. I tried copying the Win2k command processor to Win98 but it does not work. So the problem is not Win98 per se, but its limited batch processor. If the bat files could be implemented in a small basic program (which by the way is still available inWin98 - on the CD if I remember correctly) it will work in Win98. Reinier
