Digital BW, The Print

I have a few prints that have been signed by the photographer on the
"verso." (back)
This may be another reason. Also one of the prints has printing notes
written in pencil on the back.

That's possible, but I'm seeing a lot of "epson" printed photos selling for
collections.

I always wondered if it was to tell RC papers from fiber, since you
certainly can't tell 
anymore by looking at the image.
