Re: BO PRINTERS WHAT PRINTER??

2004-11-19 by hill14701

I agree with Bob - as I was participated in the BO exchange with a 1280/eboni, and
either 1280 or 2200 are excellent printers for BO. The only difference (when printing
BO) is price between them.

However, I "regressed" after the print exchange and sold the 1280. Currently, I have
an Epson 860 and 1160 for BO. The quality is quite good with these two machines,
and I really like the idea of purchasing a used printer ($30) and spending more on
paper and ink. I have the same file printed on my 1160 that is identical to my 1280
BO output. Go figure.

If I wanted to print with color, I would have kept the 1280 or upgraded to the 2200.
But as I only print B&W with my inkjet, the 1160 works better for me. I use Eboni and
the antiquated piezo driver with MIS UTFSN for quadtone prints when I need
quadtone.
