Digital BW, The Print

I have just intalled the latest QTR and GUI on Windows XP pro to use 
with Epson 4000 Ultrachromes.
Everything installed and ran fine - my first trial print on a 17" 
roll of Enhanced matt was superb!! No issues whatsoever - which to 
honest surprised me, I thought it would be a little tougher.

And then I got stuck.

I am trying to print onto manually fed A4 sheets of premium glossy.  
All looks fine in the GUI preview window.
But the print is a message.  Horribly (definately wrong) grainy and 
stretched to fit what looks like a landscape A4 sheet.  The image 
orientation was portrait, the page set up portrait.  I have tried 
different embedded PPI, scale to fit etc etc but no joy.

Any idea what button I didn't press...?  i can't find out what I am 
doing wrong.
