Did that forum change hosts -- maybe from eGroups to Yahoo?  I've looked for
old posts that I remember reading, and they are no longer there.  I suspect
that if/when there was a change in host, all the old archives got lost.  Do
you know if anyone saved those in a searchable form?

Garry, I second Steadman's opinion on Alaska.  I worked one summer in
Anchorage and just loved the place.  This last summer I finally returned --
after a 30 years absence.  The extent of the glacial retreat truly shocked
me.  But, it's still an awesome place.
