Digital BW, The Print

Dear Group,

Fired up my new 1160 with MIS VT quads using Paul's curves last night for
the first time.  I am very impressed with the results.  No tweaking other
than adding a little contrast in the print driver.  I printed all evening
from cold to warm tone and they all look great.  I inspected the MIS quad
prints right next to wet prints of the same subject.  They are just as good
and in most cases better, as I was able to exert more control of the image
through PhotoShop.  Thanks much to Paul and his excellent curves.  My first
print was made without a curve adjustment just out of curiosity - Your
curves make the system Paul.  I have never used the Piezo system, or for
that matter seen the results, but it's hard for me to imagine that they are
any better than what I am seeing.  With the added control of tone, this is a
outstanding system.  I think the darkroom has receded into past history for
me.  Paul, I'm so grateful for all your work, testing inks and developing
curves and then, the decision to share them with the rest of us!  The arts
community needs more people like you. Thanks again.
