Subject: [Digital BW] c86 ez - what settings

What settings are you guys using with the c86 ez setup?

When I use Pauls recomended settings for EEM I get really nice prints
except for banding from the Eboni cart. When I use the matte paper
setting the banding disapears, but the prints posterize, with blocks
of dark grey merging together in the 81-97% areas on a 100-step wedge,
and a nasty leap to pure black from 98-100%.

Here are the settings I am using:
 In print with preview:
  Color management
   Document: Gray Gamma 2.2
  Print space:
   Profile: Gray Gamma 2.2
   Intent: Perceptual
    "Use black point compensation" checked

 In Print properties:
  Plain paper
  Best photo
None of the print options are checked
  Color Controls: gamma 1.8
  Brightness: -5
  Contrast: -15

Am I missing something?
Thanks
 john
