Digital BW, The Print

Greetings, all.

I've been printing happily with a 7600 and the Epson UC inkset, using QTR on 
a Mac.   After reading the recent chatter here about Paul Roark's experience 
with Semi-Matte paper and the UT inkset, it got me to rethink whether I should 
revisit my paper choice.   

To Roy Harrington, and Paul, and others using the UT inkset on a 7600:   Is 
it possible to control the 7600 with QTR when using the UT7 inkset?   I have 
come to love QTR's ability to tone prints by mixing warm and cool curves in the 
RIP.   

If QTR will not work with a 7600 running UT7 inks, then how does one control 
image tone with this printer and ink combination?
