Hello All, I understand the newest MIS cartridges for the C86 and 2200 families are very refill-friendly. Is anything similar available for the 1270/1280/2000P family? And exactly what makes a cartridge refill-friendly? Looking at the C86 diagram at: http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/c82refill.html it seems that one would want 1) a sponge-free reservoir area where ink is added (presumably without causing ink foaming problems), 2) easy top-filling port with rubber plug, and 3) self-sealing poppet valves. Do I have that straight? I guess clear cartridges would be nice, too, so you could see the ink going in. I asked MIS if refill-friendly carts were available for the 1280 family, similar to those for the C86 model, but the link they sent back: http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/1270refillprocedure.html shows the same old refill system (with foam buildup problems, etc.) that we've had for several years. I use a CIS on both my 1270 and 2000P (pigment color and UT2, respectively) but it would be great to have an easy cartridge-based changeover available between the Eboni and photo K inks. Thanks! John
