After reading this posting it appears that my problem is that QTR doesn't run. I can print from Photoshop; when I ran "net share" I got a response as below #2. My loopback adapter is recognized by the Device Manager. My printer sharing appears to be correctly set up. I have XP Home. When I installed QTR it set up 2 application files in Bin, Imagetoraster and Quadtoprinter and the Quadtoneprint batch file. Clicking on the first two result in a quick flash on the screen without a actually opening anything. The batchfile doesn't open the program. I don't seem to have a way to open the program. QTRGui does open and recognizes my printer sharing. However, when I click "print" the 4000 is not accessed. The QTRGUILOG shows only the choices that I made to print and then "pause." The QTRLOG1 is accessed, but no entry is made. Even though "Debug" was selected no Debug Log is created. In fact, there is no QTRLOG2 in the QTR folder. How do you run QTR itself? Am I missing some file in spite of having run and re-run the QTR installation? --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "richard_h95050" <richardh@j...> wrote: > > Steve, > > Michael's got you pointed in the right direction here.
