Have MIS send replacement chips to you. The auto-reset type are appropriate for a CFS. The R800 chips will probably not work. I'm impressed with the package. Everything you need except for the screwdriver and a pair of scissors. I like the prints. I'm kind of wondering if I shouldn't have gone with Photo Black and Epson Premium Semigloss instead of Eboni Black ... but live and learn. I like the prints as they are very much. But I ran into a glitch ... the chip on my black cartridge is defekt and signals empty no matter what I do. I pried off a chip from the cartridges that came with the C86 and put it on instead and that worked ... but unfortunately I let my daughter print out A4's to her hearts content to empty out those color cartridges that I wouldn't be using. So all the available chips I have are almost "empty". I've heard there was a "Swedish trick" to reset the chips. Does that not apply to the newer printers? Or can someone point me in the right direction? Can I use any Epson chip (Like from a gloss optimizer cartridge for the R800?) I'm antsy to print out and with all of the full bottles of ink sitting beside the printer it feels a little frustrating not to be able to.
