My monitor can be set to resolutions in the range 800x600 to 1920x1440. Which one you choose is down to personal taste, viewing distance, and how good your eyesight is. The ppi resolution value embedded in the image is usually ignored by the browser. All that needs to be understood is that pixels in the image are displayed in individual pixels on the screen. So if the screen resolution is 800 pixels wide, an image that is 400 pixels wide will fill half the width of the screen. It's that simple. John
