Is anyone using an Epson 3000 with Mac OSx

Has anyone had success with Epson OSx Driver for Epson 3000 using some kind of serial 
or parallel to USB adapter? I need to enable the Epson Driver and not use the Cups+Gimp 
driver 4.2.5.
