Hello Paul, If I decided to buy my friend's used C84, in your opinion which inkset (warm or neutral) should I get. I prefer close to traditional darkroom type of B&W photo and from what I saw, they are mostly glossy type, am I right? Thanks again. --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Paul Roark" <paul.roark@v...> wrote: > The 1160 can do 13" UT-FSN with a simple curve on matte paper very well. > Forget glossy with the 1160. > > The C84 carts are much easier to deal with. > > Paul > www.PaulRoark.com > > > -----Original Message----- > From: John [mailto:firewoodtech@y...] > Sent: Wednesday, January 05, 2005 11:14 PM > To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com > Subject: [Digital BW] Paul Roark - need your advice > > > > From your previous post, I noticed you are using C86 and 7500 UT FS > inkset for your B&W work and you have been recommending C86 with EZ > B&W ink. > > A friend wanted to sell his C84 and I have a old 1160, what would you > suggest, buy his C84 or ??? > > If C84; use warm inkset or neutral inkset? > If 1160; use UT FS or FSN? > > I think the only advantage 1160 over C84 is able to print bigger size > but what about quality? > > Thanks for helping us (newbie) learning digital B&W. > > > > > > > Please visit the Group Homepage to check the Files, and other resources as > they are often being updated. > > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint > > If you wish to receive no emails or just a daily digest, or you wish to > unsubscribe, please edit your Membership preferences by visiting this same > page. > > Please follow these basic guidelines: > - As threads develop, trim off excess portions of earlier messages to keep > them short. > - Good manners are required at all time.
