Digital BW, The Print

Printing with UT-2 inks on EEM (using and Epson 1280), I find that 
even when I use the neutral or cool curves, the prints have 
a "brownish" tone to them.  I cannot get a print that is truely 
black, gray and white.  Is that an inherent property of the inks? The 
prints are attractive in their own right, but I wonder if there is a 
way to get cooler tones.  I use Paul Roark's recommended settings in 
PS and for the print driver.
