Is that correct? I've been using the 2200 and UT7 inks for several weeks now, having probably made about 20-25 full size prints, and haven't gotten a clog yet. > > 2) If you have to replace the eboni black with the photo black (or any > other cartridge position for that matter), do you have to put in a > FULL cartridge or is this not an issue with the 2200? I have let half-filled cartridges sit around for several days (not quite 2-3 weeks, and have had to do some "refreshing" when putting them back into use. Basically, I have had to run several head cleaning cycles to get the ink flowing again. I was told to run three cycles, make a print (plain paper at lowest dpi will suffice), and then run three more cycles, or until you don't get any more gaps in your print head test print. I run a print head test print between every cleaning cycle, though, just in case one or two is enough. Note: I was told running back to back cleaning cycles without making a full ink test print after every three can cause serious damage to the 2200. > > 3) Last, does anyone know, if I initially purchase the prefilled UT7 > cartridges from MIS, whether they come in the new refillable type, or > do I have to purchase those separately and fill them myself? I don't have an answer to this one, however, I am thinking about going to the refillable system myself for two reasons: The ink in the 2200 carts is used up pretty fast - I think faster than Ultrachrome ink, and secondly, it takes awhile for MIS to fill orders. Once they ship, they come very quickly, however, I have waited on average, a week for the order to be processed and shipped. Hope this helps. Ben
