Hot Press paper has a smoother finish, which is created by passing the paper
sheet through heated rollers. Cold Pressed is where the paper is passed
through cold rollers. Cold Pressed is also often classified as NOT and will
have a rougher texture than hot pressed paper. Depending on the manufacturer
cold pressed surfaces can often have a noticeable texture which won't suit
everyone's taste.

You might also find that the hot pressed paper prints with a little more
detail than the cold pressed or NOT

Regards

Hamish
