G3 macs are selling for $50 each now.  I bought one to run my SCSI scanners,
an oversize (A3 size) Umax ($75 on ebay) & Polaroid SS4000 slide scanner
($300).

My other two computers are a G4 mac ($700) and a Compaq PC (free).  I can
scan two items and print one, plus email and accounting, all at the same
time.  Very productive.
