Hi folks, Earlier I posted an experiment to a reduced sponge CIS system but I found after some testing that though it worked great, with reduced sponge I experienced a lack of damping needed when the printer starts from a period of idle. This has prompted me to move on to another experiment which allows me to use my existing CIS such as though purchased from MIS but with a small modification: an addition of a second set of fittings both for initial filling and cartridge reconditioning (ie. foam removal). The great thing about this mod is you can be certain that the initial fill of the CIS is optimal even when the vacuum fill method fails, and foam removal can be accomplished without cartridge removal. You can find my method demonstrated at http://www.rgb-scale.com/CIS/ I hope you find it useful, --nick
