Robert, I doubt you'll be able to make a good matte sepia BO ink. The color MIS inks are not very compatible with the matte blacks. I suspect they will cause precipitation. Every time I've tried to mix (other) matte black inks with color pigs to cool the ink down, the dmax has dropped significantly, and it takes a lot of color pigs to have any impact on the matte black due to its very high pigment load. You might have more luck on the "glossy" side. PK is compatible with MIS UT inks. For an ink that would print with a reasonable dmax on, for example, Epson Premium Semimatte, PK plus 40% or so R800 Red clone ink might be interesting. The problem is that you might still want more yellow in it. Yellow is a high gamut but very low density ink. Its low density will dilute the ink and lower the dmax more significantly. Good luck.
