Digital BW, The Print

I am trying to advance my B&W output on the C86 using MIS EZ-N inks. 

When printing the 21 step grayscale on Kirkland Glossy, sliders set 
to Bri +8, Cont -12 per Paul's advice, I am seeing bronzing in the 
90 and 95 percent segments. I don't seem to see any difference in 
either the bronzing or the tone of the print when tweaking the 
sliders even radically. Anyone have any tips or point me to a 
website to be able to understand what all these 'knobs' should do 
for me?
