Digital BW, The Print

What printer would I use and what ink would be best? I do print B/W 
with 2200 currently 
using color ink. I was hoping for truer B/W with another method, 
perhaps a second printer 
for only B/W ... I used to have an Epson 780 with Quad tones but it 
made me crazy as the 
nozzles were mostly clogged when I wanted to print and I was 
limited to 8x10. Can you 
give me some suggestions and 
information?
