Digital BW, The Print

While I'm waiting for a replacement UT2 cartridge from MIS for my
1280, I am fooling around with BO printing. Just looking at step
wedges, it appears that on glossy paper I need an adjustment curve for
PK (EK does not work at all).

Is anyone printing BO on glossy paper? If so, are there curves out
there? Are there curves for matte papers?
