Drime, The olly thought I heve about this is that I would advise 
doing carts first as opposed to a CIS system. There are a few things 
that are particular to a CIS system that a Cart system doesn't 
require, (mostly in setup and use) and until you are really 
comfortable with the inks you will have a lot to deal with besides d-
max and archivability.

I have a C84 and am very happy with it using MIS inks.

I can't speak to Claytons article as I haven't read it. Do you have a 
link or a URL you might share.
