I've seen enough 1280 BO and 2200 BO prints to conclude they look the same to the naked eye. I believe Clayton Jones and Jim Arnold (both great photographers and printers) printed the same file on their 2200's and 1280's, compared them and reached the same conclusions. Many are very happy using one or the other. I've yet to hear of someone what was unhappy with one but found happiness with the other. Of course, you can find some who just can't make either work, some who don't like BO, some who just don't like digital prints, and some who get frustrated with photography. Me? I just love my 1280 printing BO using Eboni.
