I use QTR and Eboni with the 2200, I think it gives a more neutral black
than the Epson blacks, which tend to be on the warm side at least with the
papers I use. I don't make any adjustments in QTR specifically for the Eboni
ink, any adjustments I make are for other purposes.

Subject: [Digital BW] Anyone using Eboni on a 2200 with QTR?

Hi all,

I just installed QTR and quickly was rewarded with a satisfying
print from my 2200 with Epson matte black ink on the very first try.
But, I have two unopened MIS Eboni cartridges sitting here that
arrived two days ago, as I was experimenting with BO printing just
prior to learning about QTR.

From only a small number of prints, the BO prints are a little
light, and a little warm, but have a nice "feel." My QTR prints seem
better balanced, more true to what I am seeing on my calibrated
monitor, though not quite as "transparent" as the lighter BO prints.

Now that I've installed QTR, I am somewhat reluctant to change inks,
though I would still like to explore BO printing further. Has anyone
had any experience with QTR and Eboni? What adjustments will I have
to make in QTR in order to accommodate the Eboni ink? I was not able
to locate anything relevant in my searches.

This forum seems well-populated with knowledgable folks. Glad to
have found it!

Thanks very much for your help,

Jeff Singer
