Digital BW, The Print

I'm wondering if anyone had done serious tests comparing the print resolution with 
Ultrachrome and QTR at various print output resolutions. 

I am willing to use 2880 and wait a million and one half years for a large print if the tonal 
rendition is an improvement but, if it isn't visible without a loupe I'm not.

Yes, I am going to do my own tests but I would like to hear what others are experiencing 
with various media. I will primarily be using H. Photo Rag, William Turner, Premier Hot 
Press and Concorde Rag for monochrome.
