Hi Steve. Naw. The reason for glossy paper expired with process cameras IMHO. I NEVER made a glossy silver print for exhibit. Glossy, again IMO, is the primo use for Wally World and others for two reasons. Glossy gives a better "appearance" of sharpness for those out of focus relatives. Kodak Royal (and equivalent) paper is high contrast, also to hide softness. To me there is just a richness of matte. And, in all the years I dealt with it, I never felt RC would make the long term save. Even in the glossy world, I did MY stuff on fiber base, Hypo Clear, etc. and gold toner. Even had custom easels built to print 8x10's on 11x14; 11x14 on 16x20 to make them safer.
