Digital BW, The Print

My C86 with EZN inks (self loaded cartridges) prints well, no clogs or banding.
BUT, the last few days it has begun to set a large ink drop on the paper for every few 
centimeters. We are talking about a drop so large that it runs along the paper.
There is nothing not normal to see on cartridge.  
Any ideas what this could be??
