Digital BW, The Print

Hello All,
After getting the Epson3000 NIC installed and running over EpsonNet, I 
find it no faster than the parallel port interface and additionally 
that, although the Piezo software 'recognizes' the printer as an Epson 
PhotoStylus 3000, the setup page will not allow Piezo ink selection 
nor does it have a list of paper profile choices.... ?? 
Does this software not support networked printers or do I need to 
select another name for the device ?? 
I thought a T Base 100 connection would be faster than parallel, no ?
