Also - be sure the carts are seated correctly - and try printing a 4 color purge page (found at inksupply.com) If you get ink flowing and there is some banding, just wait a few hours for the air bubbles to sort themselves out. Avoid the temptation of running umpteen nozzle checks and cleaning cycles - that does more harm than good. Folks say you should start with the epson inks first - to be sure the printer is working w/o voiding the warranty. My eBay printer came w/o inks so I started with the MIS carts. It prints like a dream now - but I did have some micro banding after initial install of the carts. I hope this helps.
